DAYENU
Abba Father,
DAYENU—Your love, redeeming me from a life of destruction and crowning me with Your lovingkindness and tender mercies, would have been sufficient, but You had a special gift for me.
Out of nowhere—actually when I was feeling nowhere, in despair with nowhere to turn, came Michael Finesilver. He loved me, Abba, just like You have loved me. All the years when I was throwing myself away, feeling I was worthless, not knowing that to You I was precious, You had Your perfect plan.
In the dark desperately lost world where I walked, You came for me. What could have been my ultimate deathsong, You turned into a majestic symphony. Yes, You Lord would have been sufficient, but You brought Michael, Your love living inside a human body—and wow you do give spectacularly! For Michael was so handsome.
At first all I knew was the soft gentle voice on the phone, and when I dared to hope, I stopped to tell You, I only want him if he loves You as much as I do. First was the surprise: Michael’s looks. Those warm eyes and his playful smile—always seeming like he could read my mind with a hint I’d be teased with what he knew.
But best of all was discovering Michael loved You at least as much as I did.
Thirty-three years You gave me to treasure, and last night when I confessed to You my anxieties, my fears, I heard You ask, “Miriam, do you think I would abandon you now?” You then prompted me to travel the trajectory of my life.
This is why I am thanking You with all my heart. I did travel all the way back in time, and maybe throughout my life I didn’t see Your hand and thought I was all alone, trying to survive, but now with full assurance I can say, “You didn’t abandon me ever–through all the peaks and valleys, and You won’t now either.”
Before the foundation of the world, You called my name. You knew my heart, set me apart right from the start. Your hand has held me, guiding my life.
In your love, Yeshua, I was always known. By Your grace my path is taken. Called by Your Name, redeemed by love, I was chosen by Elohim above.
No one else will ever let me live this life I live in You. No one else could ever fit the mold You have cast for me. [1]
