YET JESUS

Reaching my 70’s, reflection seems to have become my “hobby.” Looking back at every thoughtless and selfish act, I think “Did I really do that?” Yet Jesus . . . He brings beauty where ashes were, where mourning was, He brings humbling thankfulness, and a love that touches us where only He could, and where we yearn to be touched. He forgives and redeems.

This is an excerpt from my first novel and describes the aftermath of having chosen an abortion: “Like a howling in her innermost being.  Plunged into a tunnel that seems to have no end. Who knew that a moment in time would cause the inner springs of a human soul to collapse?  A choice was made. A permanent wound etched into the heart. What was promised as the way to be free was a lie she chose to believe.”
